DESCRIPTION:Note: this is part 2 of a 3-part workshop sequence. This 
 workshop will introduce and explore the ethical and legal issues that are 
 related to the acquisition and use of social media information for 
 research. Students will learn what to consider in study design\, how to 
 understand platform terms of service\, and what best practices apply when 
 working with social media research. This workshop will be offered via 
 Zoom\; an in-person version will be offered on October 13. Participants 
 will receive a Zoom link in the days leading up to the workshop.\n\nOther 
 workshops in this series: Introduction to Twitter Research (in-person\, 
 September 22\; Zoom\, September 29)\; Acquisition and Analysis (in-person\, 
 November 3\; Zoom\, November 10). The workshops build on one another\, but 
 it's not necessary to register for all three in order to receive RCR 
 credit.
