DESCRIPTION:Note: this is part 1 of a 3-part workshop sequence. In this 
 workshop\, students will learn the basic processes and considerations of 
 acquiring social media data for research. Subsequent workshops in this 
 series will cover legal and ethical concerns and hands-on work with the 
 Twitter API. This event will be held in-person\; the same workshop will be 
 offered via Zoom on September 29.\n\nOther workshops in this series: Legal 
 and Ethical Issues (in-person\, October 13\; Zoom\, October 20)\; 
 Acquisition and Analysis (in-person\, November 3\; Zoom\, November 10). The 
 workshops build on one another\, but it's not necessary to register for all 
 three in order to receive RCR credit.
