[RESCHEDULED] Publishing Without a Publisher: Strategies for Openly Sharing Your Research

[RESCHEDULED] Publishing Without a Publisher: Strategies for Openly Sharing Your Research

Note: due to unforseen circumstances, this program will no longer be held on February 18. We will announce a new date on the ScholarWorks Events page and Bass Connections Foundational Research Modules page soon.

Throughout the year, Bass Connections, in partnership with experts across campus, will offer short virtual modules designed to provide foundational knowledge in research practices. These sessions are open to all Duke students, staff and faculty (you do not have to be a member of a Bass Connections team to participate).

In this session, Duke Libraries' ScholarWorks Center will introduce considerations for sharing your research through non-traditional channels, including resources where you can learn more.

The session will address how to:

  • Consider content structure, venue, and platforms
  • Understand copyright and select the right license
  • Credit contributors for their work
  • Ensure discovery by key audiences
  • Track engagement and impact
  • Plan for future maintenance and archiving

This program will be online, via Zoom. Registration is required, through Bass Connections. Please see this page for more information and the registration link.
