Creating Videos with Panopto

Panopto is a Duke-supported application which allows faculty to quickly create videos such as mini-lectures or slide presentations, problem solving sessions captured from a tablet device, video-based feedback on student assignments, and others, using basic equipment they already have or can acquire for low cost (laptop computer or tablet, inexpensive microphone).

Join Michael Blair, Video Producer in Academic Media Production, in this online workshop to learn:

  • some ways that Panopto differs from other video platforms (specifically tools available to students),
  • how to create videos using Panopto,
  • make simple edits when needed,
  • add quiz questions to videos,
  • implement best practices for accessibility such as video captions, and
  • post the videos to be accessed in Sakai.
