Intro to Geospatial Data

Part of the DataFest Workshop Series. This workshop provides an introduction to the foundational concepts behind geospatial data—data that includes location information. We will focus on the special characteristics of geospatial data that differ from other types of data, and explore how these differences affect visualization, processing, and analysis. Participants will also learn about data types, methods for finding data, and commonly used tools for working with geospatial data.

This event is offered virtually in accordance with Duke's Coronavirus events policies. A zoom link will be sent via email to registered participants to join the workshop.

The content of the workshop may be recorded. If you are uncomfortable with a recording being published, please contact the instructor at anytime prior to the conclusion of the workshop.
