Crafting Course Learning Objectives (Course Design Series: Session 1)

What will my students get out of this course? Why does this course matter? Answering these questions helps you design a meaningful, engaging learning experience. The key to a student-centered syllabus is well-defined learning objectives that determine how you will approach your assessments and course activities. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss course design challenges and workshop their learning objectives in small groups.

This is part of Learning Innovation's winter Course Design Series.

Are you designing a syllabus for the Spring semester? In this series of workshops you will learn and apply a process to design courses in which learning objectives, activities, and assessments are aligned. Instructors are encouraged to attend all of the workshops in the series to get a head start on their Spring syllabus and gain a full understanding of student-centered course design.
