Digital Brown Bag | Student Experiences with Bass Digital Education Fellowships

The Bass Digital Education Fellowship Program, offered in partnership with the Duke Graduate School, helps graduate students develop new skills to distinguish themselves in the academic job market and to explore emerging career paths in education technology, digital publishing, and teaching and learning innovation. Through this program PhD students can collaborate on leading-edge projects in partnership with Duke faculty and other campus partners. Learning Innovation consultant Sophia Stone leads this talk with three of the students in this year's program:

  • Edgar Virguez Rodriguez (PhD student, Nicholas School of the Environment)
  • Jonathan Holt (PhD student, Civil & Environmental Engineering)
  • Filippo Screpanti (PhD student, Romance Studies)

They consider what's involved in undertaking this kind of collaborative teaching, what can be learned through the process, and how others might make best use of this program in the future.
