Helping Students Learn How to Learn
Students’ prior misconceptions about learning often result in ineffective study skills, fixed mindsets, or little awareness of the need to improve. The more students understand about how they learn, the more effective they can be at learning. This session will present strategies for how faculty can help students become metacognitive learners, more self-aware of what works for them and why.
Presenters: Kimberly Bethea, Ph.D., Director and Reed Colver, M.A., Learning Consultant, of the Academic Resource Center.
