What I Wish I Had Known About Teaching (at Duke)

Learning Innovation invites faculty, particularly those new to teaching at Duke, for an engaging discussion from award-winning faculty as they share their instructional insights and lessons learned about teaching here. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions about the Duke teaching environment and engage with the faculty presenters.

This year’s panelists include:

  • Dr. Jules Odendahl-James is the Director of Academic Engagement, Arts & Humanities for the Academic Resource Center, as well as an instructor of writing and theater.
  • Dr. John Blackshear is the Dean of Academic Affairs, as well as an instructor for Forensic Psychology.
  • Dr. Minna Ng is the faculty director for the David M. Rubenstein Scholars Program, as well as Assistant Professor of the Practice in Psychology and Neuroscience.
  • Dr. Len White is an Associate Professor in Neurology, as well as the Associate Director of the Duke Institute for Brain Sciences.

Lunch will be provided.
