Better Evaluation with Sakai Rubrics
Rubrics are a fundamental tool for any discipline and many different types of assignments. They allow you to:
- be consistent in your grading practice,
- increase inter-grader reliability if you have multiple graders in your course,
- stay focused on evaluating the key elements of the assignment, and
- make sure your grading aligns with your learning objectives.
In this workshop, we will first discuss the power of rubrics, then practice good rubric design, and finally work directly in Sakai to build a rubric using Sakai's new rubrics tool.
