Boost students’ content retention with Nudge

Nudge is a tool that enables instructors to improve students’ retention of information shared in their classes. This session will introduce the tool and how you can start using it in your courses.

The Nudge tool enables instructors to send their students links to short quizzes through email or SMS. Instructors can set up questions for every session in the semester and schedule those questions to reach their students at whatever time the instructor chooses. Students can choose which delivery method suits them at the start of the semester, and they can quit Nudge at any time.

Nudge is based on the theory that carefully timed questions about course content will increase student retention of that information. You can learn more about the pedagogic theories behind Nudge here.
