Rfun - R Open Lab: semi-structured opportunities for learning R
This new series is designed to help us all learn in groups. The six-week, guided learning hour will provide a safe and comfortable environment for learning more about the R programming language, RStudio, and the Tidyverse. The series goal is to enable researchers and students a low-stress hour to learn and hone data savvy skills. Attendees will gain greater familiarity with a tool-suite designed to foster reproducibility and transparency as vital components of the researcher's workflow.
In the first meeting we will decide, as a group, which resource we use to guide us. We will pick one of the following resources, either ...
- R for Data Science by Hadley Wickham & Garrett Grolemund (select chapters, workbook problems, and solutions)
- the RStudio interactive R Primers
- Advanced R by Hadley Wickham (select chapters and workbook problems)
or - the interactive dataquest.io learning series on R
RSVP for each individual instances of this event. Event Dates are all on Mondays: Sept. 16, Sept 23, Sept 30, Oct. 14, Oct. 21, Oct. 28.
