Mapathon

Join us for a mapathon at Bostock Library. We will work with Humanitarian Open Street Maps to create maps for areas of the world where high-quality, open geospatial data is scarce. We’ll begin with an overview of free tools used for crowd-sourced mapping projects. Then we will give a quick demonstration to show you how to get started making contributions to Open Street Map.

Both beginners and experienced mappers are welcome to join. We will teach you everything you need to know.

Food and beverages will be provided. Please bring a laptop computer. It's completely optional, but we also recommend bringing a mouse if you have one.

This event is co-hosted by the Data and Visualization Services Department and the Student Association for Geospatial Analysis (SAGA).
