Duke at Home in the World at Duke Libraries

In collaboration with the Libraries Assembly Professional Affairs Committee, International and Area Studies here in the Libraries are hosting presentations and an international buffet for November’s Duke at Home in the World campaign:

Three speakers from IAS, Luo Zhou (China), Holly Ackerman (Latin America), and Miree Ku (Korea) will describe a project in which they’re currently involved, and then say a few words about how they have collaborated with others (both inside and outside of the library) to fulfill the priorities in the university strategic plan, and in particular, with the need to create a supportive environment for research and learning that is, at once, both “Globally Engaged, [and] Locally Grounded.” There will also be a pop-up exhibit of international literary prize-winning books.
