Lunch & Learn with Code Ocean

This workshop will provide a virtual demonstration of the Code Ocean platform. Code Ocean employs Docker technology to execute code in the cloud. It provides users with a self-contained computational environment that is accessible from any computing device without the need for local software and facilitates users to publish and share their “compute capsules” with the broader research community. Duke University Libraries recently launched a pilot of the Code Ocean platform and Duke researchers can now sign up to participate on the Code Ocean Pilot Portal Page. This online demonstration presented by April Clyburne-Sherin will provide a broad overview of the functionalities of the Code Ocean platform including how code and data are preserved and the suite of tools available.

If you cannot attend this demonstration, Code Ocean staff may also be available to provide demonstrations for labs or research groups upon request. Please email askdata@duke.edu to request a demo.

Lunch will be provided, please register below.
