+DataScience (+DS) is a new initiative at Duke providing online training modules and in-person learning experiences to help people in all disciplines in the Duke community learn more about Data Science. Before registering for any of the in-person workshops, you should complete one or more of the four pre-requisite online modules. 

The convolutional neural network, and its deep variants, is introduced for image analysis. A focus is placed on the intuition of such models, and why they are effective in practice. Further, implementation details are discussed, as is how they are applied to achieve state-of-the-art performance across a range of image-analysis problems.
