Exhibit Reception: Blomquist--The Professor, the Garden, the Legacy

Join us for a reception celebrating 50 years of native plant gardening in the Sarah P. Duke Gardens.

Our new exhibit in the Chappell Family Gallery celebrates the 50th anniversary of the dedication of the Blomquist Garden of Southeastern Native Plants by remembering Dr. Hugo L. Blomquist’s many contributions to the field of botany, and by celebrating the growth and development of his namesake garden. The Blomquist Garden contains many of the plant species that Dr. Blomquist studied and offers an opportunity for a visitor to immerse themselves in the natural world that he loved.

This event is free and open to the public.
