Designing Student-Centered Library Workshops

Are you designing a new instructional workshop or planning to revise an existing one? In this session, you will learn to apply a best-practice approach to designing dynamic, learning-focused instructional workshops that meet the needs of students across academic disciplines. Practice and refine your instructional expertise by crafting effective learning goals in which activities and assessments are aligned, and learn new strategies to communicate with faculty about teaching goals and setting learner expectations. As an added benefit, this workshop is modeled on active learning principles that you can immediately apply to the design of your own library instruction.
