Legal and Publishing Considerations for Using, Sharing, Citing, and Tracking Impact of Data Sets

This session covers the legal and practical considerations of how to use other people’s data in your own work, how to share your data and apply the right licenses so that your it gets widespread attention, and how to track and learn about what others are doing with your data. The session will be led by Duke University Libraries Office of Copyright & Scholarly Communications: Dave Hansen, Paolo Mangiafico, and Haley Walton, all of whom are experts on intellectual property, licensing, and sharing scholarly work.
