Regular Expressions: Matching Patterns in Your Data (DVS Workshop Series)

Learn to use regular expressions as a powerful method for finding patterns in text and data. For example: find all words ending in "ing"; all words which begin with a capital letter; all telephone area codes that begin with either the number 7 or 8; all email addresses which contain "duke.edu". We’ll use RegExr.com to help you leverage the text mining and transformation capabilities inherent in many applications and programming languages. Beginners are welcome.

Please note: Laptops are required for this course.
