Data Storytelling: Framing your narrative

[Online] As a researcher, you are often asked to distill years of work into a 20-minute talk, or worst, a 6-minute lightning talk. In this workshop, we will explore what it means to frame a data story and why the way you shape your narrative matters. You will learn how to choose a frame that fits your audience’s interests, background, and time constraints. We will also look at a few story structures that can help you communicate your research with clarity and impact. This event is open to non-Duke participants.

A zoom link will be sent via email to registered participants to join the workshop.

The content of the workshop may be recorded. If you are uncomfortable with a recording being published, please contact the instructor at any time prior to the conclusion of the workshop.
