Save the Date: 3rd Annual Duke Engineering Exposition

Are you ready to uncover the fascinating history of Duke's Engineering School?

Imagine holding a 16th-century amputation saw while reflecting on how surgical tools have evolved over time.

Have you ever been curious about how a lipstick tester works—and how it found its way to Duke?

You're invited to a special open house for students, faculty, and staff of the Pratt School of Engineering!

Come explore artifacts that highlight:

  • University Archives materials
  • Medical instruments
  • Other artifacts that reflect technological changes

Join us for an informal open house featuring fascinating items from the David M. Rubenstein Rare Book & Manuscript Library on Duke’s West Campus.

Attendees will have the opportunity to browse materials, engage with Library staff about our collections, and create their own pin buttons.

We hope to see you there!
