Student Creative Writing at Duke: A Celebration of the William Styron Centenary

This exhibition opening and public event is in honor of the William Styron centenary; the Rubenstein Library is hosting an exhibition highlighting the rich history of student creative writing at Duke.

During the event, curators, Danny Sarmiento and Arianne Hartsell-Gundy, will give opening remarks and a short history of the Rudolph William Rosati and William Styron creative writing awards that are given to students annually by Duke University Libraries. Past prize-winners – Jamie McGhee, Valerie Muensterman, and Kulsoom Rizavi – will give readings of their student work featured in the exhibition. Closing remarks will be provided by Alexandra Styron.
