Celebrate AAPI Heritage: Mural Unveiling at Duke Libraries – May 8

Duke University Libraries will unveil a panel mural created by the Duke Asian American and Pacific Islander Affinity Group and artist, Brandon Johnson. The 300-block mural depicts a lotus flower and the Polynesian wave tattoo symbol to represent Asian and Pacific Island cultures.

The mural has traveled through Duke University Hospitals since its completion in Spring 2024 and will be on exhibit at Duke University Libraries over the next two years.

Join us at Perkins Library from 11am -12pm on Thursday, May 8 for the unveiling of this traveling mural. Light refreshments will be served.
