Please join the Disability Inclusion and Community Empowerment (DICE) Affinity Group, Duke University Press, and the Department of Cultural Anthropology as they welcome Dr. Faye Ginsburg, David B. Kriser Professor, and Dr. Rayna Rapp, Professor Emerita of Anthropology, from New York University to speak about their books Disability Worlds (Duke University Press, 2024) and How to Be Disabled in a Pandemic (NYU Press, 2025). After they provide an overview of their work, the audience will be able to ask questions and engage in conversation with them. DICE would like to recognize that this event will be taking place around the five-year anniversary of the start of the 2020 COVID-19 stay-at-home order in the U.S.

Note that this will be a hybrid event with remote speakers—you may register for the Zoom option. Those who wish to gather in-person may do so in Bostock Library Room 127 (The Edge Workshop Room), which is accessible by elevator (Google Maps link, floor plans, and parking info). Attendees are welcome to lunch together after around West Campus, but no food/catering is allowed in this room.
