CANCELED - Ethical Data Visualization

THIS WORKSHOP HAS BEEN CANCELED. If you are interested in learning more about ethical data visualization, please email askdata@duke.edu and we would be happy to set up an in person demonstration or consultation.

[In person] Visualization is a powerful tool for helping us understand complex information quickly, and with that power comes responsibility. Even well-intentioned visualizations can be misleading. We will present practical approaches to ensuring your visualizations are accurate, honest, and transparent. Through group critiques we will help you recognize misleading data visualization practices and identify ways to make your own visualizations more effective. This event is open to non-duke participants.

The content of the workshop may be recorded. If you are uncomfortable with a recording being published, please contact the instructor at anytime prior to the conclusion of the workshop.
