Hands-On Lab: Clustering and Classifying Textual Corpora (RCR; GS717.11)
Note: Clustering and Classifying Textual Corpora (GS 717.10) is a prerequisite for this hands-on session; you can register here.
After participating in the introductory digital humanities workshop on clustering and classifciation, students can join this hands-on, focused exploration of text clustering and classification techniques. We'll continue to use the Orange data anlalysis platform and, depending on student interest, may devote time to related techniques such as topic modeling. Students are encouraged to bring their own projects and textual corpora for study.
