AI and Assessments: A Practical Guide

This practical workshop equips educators with ideas of how to create engaging and effective AI-integrated assignments for their classrooms. Participants will discover how AI can enhance learning experiences, foster critical thinking, help with individualized learning, and promote collaboration among students. We will also consider best practices for assessment and feedback on AI assignments.

The session will also describe assignments instructors are trying right now. One Duke instructor will join us to describe his current AI project. Jon Reifschneider from Pratt Engineering directs a Masters program dedicated to the use of AI in product development. He will demonstrate his platform Edguide, which uses AI to build personalized learning experiences for students.

Join this workshop to think about how to create AI-enhanced assignments that challenge, engage, and inspire your students in new and exciting ways.
