Getting it Published: Best Practices for Peer-Reviewed Journal Success

Are you ready to publish? With this interactive workshop, you will be! Join us to learn best practices in choosing a journal home, determining authorship, preparing your manuscript, submitting your article, responding to reviewer feedback, and navigating final edits on the road to publication. No prior experience is required.

Patty Carroll is currently Communications Consultant for the Graduate Communications and Intercultural Programs Team at Duke University. Patty earned a PhD in Special Education and an MEd from the University of California at Los Angeles. Her research has been published in Language Testing, Review of Research in Education, and Journal of Learning Disabilities. She earned her Master of Arts in TESOL and secondary English teaching credential from California State University, Los Angeles.

Sark Park is the Librarian for Engineering and Computer Science and supports active engagement with faculty, students, and staff to promote library services and collections and to support emerging information literacy. Sarah designs workshops, library sessions, and in-depth research consultations for our engineering community at Duke University.
