Rescheduled: Keep Calm and Do Research: Expand your research with SciFinder and PubMed

Please note that this workshop has been rescheduled for Thursday, June 18, at 11 a.m. so that Duke students, faculty, and staff can also attend the campus Event, Living While Black: A University-Wide Event, on Tuesday, June 16.

Expand your research by using SciFinder and PubMed, two interdisciplinary databases covering topics in biomedical engineering, materials sciences, medicine, toxicology, and pharmacology. This workshop will introduce you to advanced searching using the powerful search features of SciFinder such as structure searching, searching by registry number, narrowing results by physical property parameters, and finding patents associated with a material followed by a quick demonstration of the updated PubMed.

If you would like to follow along, new users should create a SciFinder account before the workshop. Information on creating accounts can be found at https://guides.library.duke.edu/chemistry

* This is a free and open workshop, but pre-registration is required for Zoom access. We’ll send out a Zoom link in the morning of the meeting.
