Multimodal Publishing (part II) [Digital Publishing Workshop]
Following up on the previous session, this week will center on the use of collaborative annotation tools to foster audience engagement with digital publishing projects. We'll explore platforms that allow annotation of many different media types, including video, audio, and images. Our focus will be on free software such as VideoAnt, StoryMap, and Neatline.
The Digital Publishing Workshop series invites faculty, graduate students, and staff to explore digital publishing topics through informal workshops focused on specific concepts or tools. Hosted by Duke Libraries Digital Scholarship Services and co-sponsored by Trinity Technology Services, this series will help participants learn about practical ways to plan, develop, and contribute to digital publishing projects in the humanities.
Sessions feature brief topic overviews and tool demonstrations with open Q&A. Presenters will also highlight resources in the Libraries and at Duke for pursuing further work. Following each workshop, participants are welcome to linger in the Studio for hands-on practice or follow-up consultations.
