Open Educational Resources Workshop for Library Staff
Duke Library staff are invited to attend a workshop on Open Educational Resources. Open educational resources (OERs) are materials for teaching and learning that are freely available to be used, reused, revised, remixed, and redistributed in any classroom. Participants will discuss OER definitions and history, learn about the OER grant program at Duke, and leave with some example OERs to explore and ideas for further investigation.

Be able to describe what OERs are and their emergence and value in higher ed

Be able to explain The Duke Endowment Libraries OER Grant Program at Duke

Identify several sources of OER in your discipline
- Evaluate 1-2 OER for potential use in a course
Please bring a computer for activities.
