Institutional Repositories (Munch & Mull discussion group)

To kick off a series of M&M discussions this May exploring the current landscape of digital repositories (or, What We Talk about When We Talk about Repositories), we'll start local: What are institutional repositories? What is their value to academic institutions? How are they used, and how can that use best be encouraged and improved?

We'll base discussion in the following blog post, which offers a current, provocative, and summative history of institutional repositories and concerns and warnings about its future, along with a thoughtful Q&A with CNI's Clifford Lynch:

Poynder, Richard. (2016, September 22). "Q&A with CNI's Clifford Lynch: Time to re-think the institutional repository?" Open and Shut? http://poynder.blogspot.co.uk/2016/09/q-with-cnis-clifford-lynch-time-to-re_22.html (Accessed 2017 April 28).
