Regular Expressions: Pattern Matching

Learn to use regular expressions (RegEx), a powerful method for finding patterns in text and data. Bring your laptop for this hands-on experience. For example: find all words ending in "ing"; all words which begin with a capital letter; all telephone area codes that begin with either the number 7 or 8; all email addresses which contain "duke.edu". We’ll use RegExr.com to help you leverage the text mining and transformation capabilities inherent in many applications and programming languages. Beginners are welcome.
